Customer Support Advisers provide "light project management" for maintenance and repair work on illuminated signs and interior and exterior lighting around the country.  Daily duties include scheduling Field Partners (subcontractors) for trips to the job site, following up on required paperwork and preparing customer proposals; updating the customer every step of the way via third party system or other method requested. 

Although a structured training program is provided, Customer Support Advisers must exercise judgment in their daily duties, deciding how to handle each situation and move each work order forward within loosely defined parameters.     

Negotiation, research, and problem-solving skills are essential in this role. 

This is an hourly position.  Scheduled work hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday-Friday.  Occasional overtime may be offered.


Daily Responsibilities:

  • Quickly move work orders through the process in order to meet quantifiable performance goals.  
  • Utilize MC Group software to locate and dispatch a Field Partner to the job. Call Field Partners to evaluate their capabilities, rates, and availability.
  • Verbally instruct Field Partners on the scope of work, as well as MC Group's policies and procedures.
  • Continually communicate with customers and vendors to make sure work has been completed in a timely, cost-effective manner and that the customer is satisfied.  
  • Take meticulous notes regarding every phone call, email, and internal conversation.


Here's what you'll need in order to be considered:

  • 2 or more years of experience working in a professional office environment
  • Computer proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Minimum typing speed of 50 wpm
  • Relevant experience in a similar industry a plus (lighting, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.)
  • High School diploma or equivalent
